2018 is already proving to be a busy year at Outpost, with a number of exciting events and new releases to look forward to. Somewhere between promoting chart topping albums, making festival announcements, launching branded sessions and supporting a plethora of releases and live shows, we’ve found the time to piece together a brief summary of all the action happening at our East London HQ, with a handy playlist to boot. We Are Scientists [Online PR]
The Brooklyn based power pop duo announced their sixth studio album ‘Megaplex’, set for release on the 27th April. The initial response has been electrifying, being covered by over 40 outlets in just a couple of days. Supporters so far include NME, Dork, Upset, The Line of Best Fit, Team Rock, CMU, Clash, Indie Shuffle, Gigwise, Aesthetic and Magnet Magazine. With a huge upcoming UK, European and US tour, the charismatic duo are set to take 2018 by storm with this vibrant new departure.

Gidi Culture Fest [Events PR]
We’ve picked up another incredible festival this year, the Nigerian Youth Culture movement famed for its undiluted celebration of African culture. Five years in, the Gidi Tribe are making a name for themselves in Lagos and all across the continent by booking huge international artists, like last year’s headliners Diplo and Burna Boy, and with their plans to evolve the African live industry with their pioneering ticketing solution.

Hearts Hearts [Radio & Online PR]
The Viennese alt-pop four piece announced the release of their forthcoming album ‘Goods / Gods’ this month, as the lead single aired out on Huw Stephens’ BBC Radio 1 show before getting picked up as John Kennedy’s X-Posure Big One. Keep a close eye on Noisey for the second taste coming soon…

Hollie Cook [Print and Online PR]
The new LP ‘Vessel of Love’ is out now and climbing to dizzy new heights in album charts both at home and across the pond, following critical acclaim from The Guardian, Pitchfork, Noisey, BBC 6 Music, DJ Mag, Q, Uncut, Metro and many many more. Cook’s charisma and vocal talent is proving to be quite the allure.

Vaarwell [Distribution]
The Portuguese dream pop duo have joined our distribution roster, and are ready to unleash their ethereal single ‘Stay’ out into the word. Their sugary pop anthems led by Margarida Falco’s angelic vocals have received support from Huw Stephens and Lauren Laverne, alongside online plaudits from Stereogum and Crack in the Road.

Teenage Cancer Trust [Charity Cause/Focus]
We’re supporting two events in aid of the important UK charity this month, as Hollie Cook joins the line up for Roger Daltrey’s fundraiser at the Royal Albert Hall with UB40, David Rodigan and more on 19th March – covered by Music Week. We’re also launching the Soundwave Sessions, a unique new event where art, live music and culture collide, marking the 50th Anniversary of Cambridge Audio and the ‘Great British Sound’.
